Sunday Worship Times:  Blended service 8:20  The Grove 9:40  Traditional Service 11:00           MapMill Grove UMC

In the past 100 years, we have learned how to fly, we have traveled to outer space and we have witnessed the age of computer technology.  As a result, we live in an age of revolutionary change and rapid communication.  Despite advances in technology designed to keep us connected, we are lonelier than ever before.  The reason is that God made us for communion with Him and with others.  The Bible says that it is not good to be alone and that two are better than one (Ecclesiastes 4:9).  The early church revolved around believers gathering together daily for community.  We need one another if we are going to grow in the faith.  This is why small group community is so important.

Community is God's idea. Community began with the Trinity and can be found throughout the Bible, especially when we look at the life of Jesus. When God gave Jesus the mission of reaching the world with the good news of His love and grace, Jesus employed a world changing strategy: he poured his life into a small group that we refer to as "the disciples".

 Life change happens in small groups. Small groups can offer you the chance to grow deeper in your relationship with God. You can also connect with others in the church community. Being involved in a small group will expand your vision of what God can do through and in your life.

Attending Church simply isn't enough. To reap the full benefits' of being in a Church family it is vital to become involved in a small group.

Mill Grove United Methodist Church has plenty of opportunities to become involved in small groups. Some formal small groups meet at different homes for fellowship and are made up of 10-15 people who meet every week for six to eight weeks to share, study, and support one another but remember, the main focus is to become involved, share, study, and support one another. Though not typical, these groups are also "small groups".

We also offer different short term Bible Study classes at different times of the year like;

  • Christianity 101
  •  How to Know the Will of God
  • The Forgotten God

And for the younger members of the family we offer

  • UMYF (United Methodist Youth Fellowship)
  • KIDZ Connection
  • Children's Church

There are many more reasons why you and I need to be a part of small group.  Don’t rob yourself of the great blessing of being a part of the family of God.
